Hi, my name is Jeff Vinall and I have been a personal trainer for more than 20 years as well as a teacher continuing education classes for trainers at Equinox Fitness, Club One Sport and others. I've also got a great track record of helping people reach their health and fitness goals. Unfortunately, over the years, I've spent a lot of my time with clients debunking many of the myths and fads that have come and gone in the fitness industry.  It seems every week there's a new fitness gizmo or fad diet being promoted in a late night TV infomercial that's supposed to revolutionize the the way you work out.

I'm here to tell you, there are no short cuts, no secret moves, and no new equipment that's gonna make any real long term difference for you. Now, I'd be the first to admit that a lot of new fitness products are legitimate and effective tools for reaching your goals, but they need to be used along with other tools as part of a well planned, progressive training program for your whole body.  Any device, fitness move or ab gizmo will help you short term, but without progression you will plateau and only see limited results. Plateaus happen when your body gets used to any workout you are doing, and stops adapting and changing in positive ways.  Anybody who's put any time at all into fitness has certainly run into this problem, at best it saps your motivation, and at worst can lead to injuries, overtraining and can cause some people to quit training all together.

This is why having a personal trainer can be so helpful, because an experienced trainer can put together a whole body program of exercises that work together to help you break through plateaus and reach increasingly higher levels of health and fitness, while staying injury free.

So I've decided to make a series of videos to help you weed out all the misinformation out there, and to show you how to progress your workout over time to maximize your results. We'll start with the basics and move on to include balance and core training and eventually power, plyometrics and sport specific training. I'll include some boxing videos, as well as specific programs for golf, tennis and baseball as well.

So, stay tuned to this channel for new progressive workouts, and check out my website at www.downtownlatrainer.com
